Sarela Herrada has a diverse work experience in various industries. Sarela is currently a Co-Founder at SIMPLi, a company focused on sustainable food sourcing. Previously, they worked at CAVA as the Director of Food and Beverage, where they played a crucial role in the growth and success of the Mediterranean culinary brand. Sarela also worked as a Supply Chain Manager at CAVA and as an Operations Systems Manager at Mayorga Coffee, LLC. Sarela has experience in consulting as well, having worked as a Consultant at Manhattan Associates, where they implemented Warehouse Management solutions for clients. Additionally, they have worked as a Continuous Improvement Intern at Kraft Foods Group and as a Quality Control Intern at GE Transportation. Sarela also serves as a Board Member at the Regenerative Organic Alliance, promoting sustainable and fair practices in the food and agricultural industry.

Sarela Herrada is currently pursuing an MBA at The Wharton School, with an expected completion in 2025. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University.
