Trenton Ashburn has extensive experience in the technology and data science fields. In 2020, they became the CEO and Co-Founder, CTO of Simpact, a software platform for social enterprises to improve their impact by making data-driven decisions, informed by computer simulation and machine learning. In 2018, they founded Grok. In 2019, they took on the role of Senior Data Scientist at Concentric. In 2016, they were a Scientist/Consultant with both Concentric and Nielsen, designing algorithms to combine Nielsen's survey and people-meter datasets. In 2011, they founded WireOver, a desktop app that does unlimited P2P file sending, for free. In 2009, they were a consultant with the Law Lab at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals, designing and building an agent-based model in Java with a Flash-based web front-end. In 2008, they were a consultant with Plectix Biosystems. In 2004, they founded and became COO of H. Capital Management. In 2002, they were a Senior Scientist at Icosystem Corporation, designing and building a variety of simulations and models for companies including Intel, Veritas, Adventis, Wachovia, and Exclusive Resorts.
Trenton Ashburn attended West Morris Central from 1992 to 1996. Trenton then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science at Brown University, graduating in 2000 with a major in Computer Science, Finance, and Neuroscience. In 2012, Trenton Ashburn attended Y Combinator.
