Ouldooz Baghban Karimi serves as the Chair of the Computing Science Diversity Committee and a Lecturer at Simon Fraser University since March 2019, teaching various courses including Cloud & Network Security at the graduate level. Ouldooz has a strong research focus on IoT, Edge, Data, Diversity, and CS Education. Previously, Ouldooz held leadership roles at AI4ALL and worked at Ciena as a Lead Systems Engineer, where successful PoCs garnered high customer satisfaction ratings. Earlier experience includes software engineering positions at Cyan, Inc., and Tellabs, along with teaching roles at Simon Fraser University. Ouldooz obtained a PhD in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University, as well as an MSc and BSc in Computer Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology and the University of Tehran, respectively.
