Shyam Sundar P is a Principal Application Engineer at Simerics, Inc. since April 2017, specializing in advanced numerical design, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and optimization for automotive and fluid power systems. Previously, Shyam served as Lead Application Engineer at GE Global Research from August 2014 to March 2017, focusing on developing new engine concepts with advanced combustion and emission models. Shyam holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New South Wales (2010-2014), a Master's degree in Fluid and Thermal Sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (2004-2006), and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from JNTU Anantapur (1994-1998). Early career experiences include roles at GE, JFWTC as Lead Engineer, Bharat Electronics as Deputy Engineer, and Indian Railways as Senior Section Engineer for diesel locomotives.
