Karen McElhatton currently serves as a growth advisory board member at Silk. Prior to this, they held various positions at different companies including The Hyde Group, Reed's School, McLaren Group, Courier Facilities Limited (CFL), LLX GLOBAL BUSINESS SERVICES UK LTD, and TJX Europe.
Karen has always been passionate about technology and its potential to transform businesses. This led their to pursue a career in IT, starting with Procter & Gamble in 2006. In their three years there, they quickly rose through the ranks to become IT & Shared Services Director.
In 2009, they left Procter & Gamble to join TJX Europe as CIO. Karen spent seven years there, during which time they piloted new digital capabilities and cloud services. In 2016, they left TJX Europe to join LLX GLOBAL BUSINESS SERVICES UK LTD as CIO/CDO.
After a year at LLX GLOBAL BUSINESS SERVICES UK LTD, Karen joined McLaren Group as Group Chief Information Officer in 2018. Karen held this position for three years before moving on to their current role at Silk.
Karen McElhatton received a B.Com in Finance from the University of Otago and a B.Com in Economics from Western University.
