Tom Casserly is an experienced professional in the fields of chemical engineering and coating technology, currently serving as an R&D Engineer at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. since March 2022, and also as the founder of C7 Insight LLC, where strategic and technical consulting is provided with a focus on coating technology. Previously, Tom held roles such as Process & Technology specialist at GP Plasma and Technical Advisor at ArmorLube LLC. Tom's extensive background includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at Duralar Technologies and Vice President of Engineering at Sub-One Technology, where significant advancements in coating applications and processes were achieved. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with an MBA from Saint Mary's College of California and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
