Marcelo Avendano, P.E. is an accomplished automation specialist with significant experience in programming PLC and HMI applications, currently employed at Signature Automation since August 2014. Previously, Marcelo worked as an automation engineer at CDM Smith from 2012 to August 2014, where contributions included upgrading a SCADA system to a DCS system for water and wastewater clients while ensuring continuous plant operations. Early career roles included providing technical support as a customer service representative at Telenetwork in 2010 and interning at Autosystem Peru, where a simulation of mining processes was developed using Matlab and interfaced with PLC software. Marcelo holds a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and attended The University of Texas at Austin.
