Erik Tou is an experienced educator in mathematics, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Washington Tacoma since September 2016, after previously holding the position of Lecturer in Mathematics at the same institution. Erik Tou has been active in various professional organizations, including membership in Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, the Mathematics Association of America, the American Mathematical Society, and Phi Beta Kappa. Additionally, Erik Tou has contributed to the Euler Society as Secretary and Treasurer and served as Co-Director and Chief Historian for the Euler Archive. Erik Tou holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College and a B.A. in Mathematics Honors from Gustavus Adolphus College.
