George Wright is an Advanced Mechanical Engineer at Siemens Gamesa, supporting the G4 offshore geared turbine platform since April 2022. George also serves as an IMechE MPDS Mentor, aiding in the Chartered Membership application process. Previous experience includes working as a Project Engineer at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, focusing on drivetrain testing and engineering risk management. George's earlier roles at Siemens Gamesa included serving as a Mechanical Service Engineer and participating in the Siemens Energy Graduate Program. Additionally, George interned in Quality Management at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, gaining valuable skills in data analysis and report presentation. George holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Plymouth.
