Dr. Lisa Thornton serves as the Division Chief of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Sidra Medical and Research Center since August 2017, with extensive experience in pediatric rehabilitation. Additionally, Dr. Thornton has worked as a TV Health Commentator for various prominent shows including the Dr Oz Show and CNN since 2007. Dr. Thornton is the Founder and Director of CAMP Schwab, an initiative focused on providing athletic opportunities for children with disabilities. Previous roles include Medical Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and LaRabida Children's Hospital until 2017, as well as a Health Matters Columnist for Chicago Parent Magazine. Dr. Thornton began their medical career as an attending physician at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago from 1993 to 1997. Educational qualifications include an MD from the University of Michigan Medical School.
