Thijs van den Hout is a Machine Learning Research Engineer at SIDN Labs since February 2021, contributing to the R&D efforts at SIDN, the operator of a top-level internet domain. Thijs has been a member of the advisory board for the SIDN fund since April 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a teaching assistant at Radboud University from February 2018 to June 2021, where responsibilities included supporting courses in Object Oriented Programming and relational databases. Thijs completed a Master Thesis in Artificial Intelligence at Radboudumc, focusing on automatic segmentation of muscle and fat tissue in 3D abdominal CT scans. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Radboud University, complemented by a high school diploma from Odulphuslyceum. Additionally, Thijs worked as a freelance translator for Gengo.com from September 2016 to April 2019.
