Jorge André Melo began their work experience as an Intern Risk Analyst at BBVA (Portugal), SA in 2007. Jorge André then joined Portugal Telecom in 2008, where they worked in various roles including Project Manager in the CFO Office, Project Manager in Planning and Control, and Project Manager in Continuous Improvement. During their time at Portugal Telecom, they were responsible for coordinating business intelligence projects, managing continuous improvement projects, and overseeing supply chain improvements.
In 2018, Jorge moved to Nokia where they held positions as the AVA Continuous Improvement & Process Manager and Data Supply Chain Project Manager. In these roles, they managed projects related to data supply chain and process improvement.
As of 2021, Jorge joined SIBS as the Transformation and Continuous Improvement Manager. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Acquiring. Additional details regarding their roles at SIBS are not provided.
Jorge André Melo's education history begins in 2001 when they enrolled at the Universidade do Minho, where they studied Informatics Engineering until 2005. Following this, from 2005 to 2008, Jorge pursued a Licentiate degree in Economics at the same institution. Moving forward to 2012, Jorge attended INDEG-ISCTE Executive Education, where they completed an Executive Master's program in Management Control and Performance in 2013. Additionally, in 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Management at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.
Outside of formal education, Jorge has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they acquired the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the International Lean Six Sigma Institute (iLSSi). More recently, in 2023, they completed certifications in Leading People and Teams Specialization, Influencing People, Leading Teams, Managing Talent, and Inspiring and Motivating Individuals from Coursera.
