Peter Lustig has a diverse work experience in various companies. Peter started their career in 1995 as a Software Developer and Project Leader at IXOS Software AG. In 1998, they joined Telefónica o2 Germany GmbH & Co. OHG as an External Consultant and Team Leader in Software Development. In 2001, they became an IT Project Manager at SHS VIVEON AG, where they worked until 2007. Peter then took on the role of Team Manager at the same company until 2015. In 2016, they became the Senior Manager - Leitung Service & Support at SHS VIVEON AG. In addition to these roles, Peter Lustig also served as an Aufsichtsratsmitglied at Eisenbahner-Baugenossenschaft München-Hauptbahnhof eG starting from 2015.

Peter Lustig's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, with a minor field of study in Economics, from Universität Passau. Peter attended from 1989 to 1995. Additionally, they obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in 2008 and 2009. Prior to their university education, Peter Lustig completed a program in Groß- und Außenhandelskaufmann (wholesale and foreign trade merchant) at BMW Niederlassung Essen from 1986 to 1989.
