Roger Franzen has over three decades of experience in the space engineering sector. Currently serving as an Earthspace Consultant and Technical Advisor at Shoal Group Pty Ltd since September 2017 and as Earthspace Director and Principal Consultant since January 2008, Roger has played a key role in various significant projects. Previous roles include managing the SKA International Dish Consortium at CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science, overseeing the design and prototype phase of the International Square Kilometre Array Project, and serving as Technical Program Manager for the Australian GMT Program at ANU RSAA, where Roger managed a $30M facility. From 1986 to 2006, Roger held various engineering management positions at Auspace Limited, culminating in the role of Chief Executive Officer. Early career experience also includes serving as Communications Spacecraft Thermal Subsystem Manager at British Aerospace Space and Communications. Roger holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University.
