Joshua Atkins, MD, PhD, CPE, FASA, is an expert in perioperative medicine and anesthesiology, with a significant focus on patient safety. They completed their medical and doctoral studies at Columbia University and subsequently practiced as an anesthesiology resident at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, Joshua serves as a professor at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine while also consulting for Medtronic-Covidien and Becton Dickinson Company. They have held leadership roles in various professional organizations while contributing to clinical research and education over two decades in the field.
