Rachel Turbeville is a Process Engineer at SHL Medical, a position held since April 2022. Previously, Rachel taught English as a Second Language at the Celtic School of English from September 2020 to March 2022, focusing on preparing children for Cambridge exams. Rachel collaborated on a senior design project at Clemson University, designing a fully-adjustable mouth gag for tonsillectomy procedures while adhering to FDA and ISO standards. An engineering intern at Clemson University's DeFINE Program, Rachel identified innovation opportunities in surgical procedures. Additional research experience includes a role at the Medical University of South Carolina, studying stroke rehabilitation. Rachel's early experience also includes internships as a scribe and as a waitress, which enhanced interpersonal skills and Spanish comprehension. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Clemson University, completed in 2019.
