James Mekker currently serves as the Product Marketing Manager at Shimadzu Medical Systems, a position held since February 2001, where focus is on enhancing healthcare productivity and image quality through the integration of Digital Radiography Flat Panel Detectors. Notably, James was instrumental in the design of the first production Mobile DR unit in 2004. Prior experience includes serving as a Project Engineer at Picker International from March 1984 to February 2001, leading several design teams on RF, RAD, and Vascular products, and achieving success with the Clinix RF product. Earlier, James worked as a Design Engineer at Warner & Swasey from June 1978 to February 1984, specializing in the mechanical design of lathes and machining equipment. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University, with earlier educational training at Charles F Brush High School.
