Joe Foster is the current COO at Sherpa. Joe has also previously worked as a Senior Field Bioinformatics Specialist EMEA at DNAnexus and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Joe has a wealth of experience in working with data, specifically in the area of bioinformatics. Joe has been responsible for the development of robust validation methodologies for platforms, the creation and delivery of training materials for collaborators, and the development of an R library for data interrogation and visualisation. Joe has also been involved in the assessment of platforms within the wider context of the national health system and the generation of marketable materials for promotion of products.
Joe Foster attended Nottingham University Business School, where they earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA). Joe then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics at the University of Cambridge. Finally, they completed their undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Biology from The University of Sheffield.
