Jamie Shepherd, MBA, MHA, is the president and chief operating officer at Shepherd Center. Jamie, the son of Shepherd Center co-founder, the late James H. Shepherd, Jr., follows in his family’s footsteps by contributing to Shepherd Center’s mission of helping people with a temporary or permanent disability caused by injury or disease rebuild their lives with hope, independence, and dignity.

As president and COO, Jamie has the responsibility and authority for the administrative direction, evaluation, and coordination of clinical operations. He provides the leadership, management, and strategic vision necessary to ensure Shepherd Center has the proper processes and resources to effectively optimize the hospital's clinical operations, leading to the financial strength and operating efficiency.

Jamie also oversees the hospital’s community services and risk management functions. In his community services role, Jamie provides guidance and support to patients and their families after discharge by engaging them in programs that promote health, wellness, and independence, aiding in reducing unplanned readmissions and their associated costs.
