Evert Jan van Eck is a seasoned marine professional with extensive experience in marine technical advisory, surveying, and consultancy roles. Currently serving as a Marine Technical Advisor at Shell since November 2023, Evert Jan has previously worked as a Schade-expert at Crawford & Company and Port of Rotterdam from January 2023 to October 2023, and October 2019 to December 2022, respectively. Previous roles include Marine Cargo Surveyor at J. Hamer & H. van Hussen B.V. and Senior Surveyor at Van Ameyde Marine, where responsibilities encompassed P&I surveying, cargo claims, and condition surveys. Evert Jan's career began with officer positions at Jo Tankers and TOS, where a strong foundation in nautical and technical operations was established.
