Peter Macqueen is a Principal Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, specializing in Art & Design and leading the Apprenticeships Portfolio. As Course Leader and Senior Lecturer for the BSc (Hons) Packaging Professional Higher Degree Apprenticeship, Peter delivers comprehensive education in materials, techniques, and business practices essential for developing talent in the packaging industry. With previous experience as a Senior Packaging Designer in a university research and development environment, Peter has worked with diverse clients, including multinationals and startups. Earlier roles include Packaging Designer at Smurfit Kappa Group, where Peter transitioned a sample department into a creative team, and Graphic Designer at B&G Plumbing & Heating, focusing on marketing materials. Peter holds a BA Hons in Design, Packaging from Cranfield University and a GNVQ in Art & Design from Esher College.
