Cambodia Program Coordinator at SHE-CAN

Samneang is a part-time Program Coordinator for SHE-CAN, based in Cambodia, where she serves as a focal point in the country and coordinates the scholarship candidates. She has multiple years of experience working with women’s empowerment programs including women’s political participation, gender-based violence, civil society and natural resource management, governance, and girls education. She held different positions with The Asia Foundation’s Cambodia office from 1993 until 2016. She also worked as Field Adviser for Give2Asia, a U.S. based social enterprise that serves as a catalyst for philanthropic investment to increase the quality and quantity of philanthropy for Asia, where she managed donor-advised grants to organizations implementing charitable activities in Cambodia. Samneang currently serves as Country Director for The Harpswell Foundation, where she supports bright young university women to equip them with leadership skills and to ensure their intellectual and emotional well-being while they receive scholarships of room and board with Harpswell dormitory and leadership center. Samneang received her Master’s Degree in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines.
