James Tellez is a dedicated safety professional with extensive experience in construction safety management. Currently serving as a Safety Specialist at Shapiro & Duncan, Inc. since July 2021, James previously held the position of Assistant Safety Superintendent at HITT Contracting Inc., where responsibilities included reviewing subcontractor AHA/JHAs and implementing safety programs on-site. Prior roles include Safety Foreman at JAPEM Construction, where James ensured safety compliance and managed resources for daily operations, and Estimating Engineer at Donohoe Construction Company, focusing on relationship building and trade coverage. James began a career in the construction field through an internship at Matadi Construction, LLC, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from The Universities at Shady Grove along with an Associate's degree in the same field from Montgomery College.
