Eric Zimmerman currently serves as the Director of Fire and Emergency Services for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, overseeing all aspects of fire administration and operations since July 2008. Previously, Eric held the positions of Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal and volunteer firefighter with the City of Prior Lake. Eric also has teaching experience as an adjunct instructor at Hennepin Technical College. Eric's military background includes serving in the U.S. Navy Reserve and active duty, where Eric received multiple commendations for contributions to various operations. Eric holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fire and Emergency Response Management and several fire-related certifications from Hennepin Technical College and the National Fire Academy.
