Richard Dowling is an experienced manufacturing professional currently serving as the Factory General Manager at Severfield since July 2022. Prior to this role, Richard held positions as General Manager at WEC Group Ltd from April 2018 to September 2022, and as Production Engineer at mtl advanced ltd from November 2017 to September 2022. Richard's extensive career also includes experience as a Project Engineer at Sherburn Metalwork Ltd and as a Welding Production Supervisor at Optare PLC, where responsibilities included welding fabrication of integral chassis frames. Richard began career as a Sheet Metal Worker at TCL Transport Engineers, specializing in pressure vessel and road tanker fabrication and refurbishment. Richard holds a City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in Sheet Metal Work from Leeds School of Technology, completed between 1999 and 2002, alongside earlier education at Garforth Community College from 1993 to 1998.
