Marcin Dymczyk has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. Marcin began their career as an Intern at Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. in 2010. In 2011, they were an Intern at Ernst & Young and a Intern at WABCO where they developed a vision system for quality control purposes using C++, .NET and OpenCV. That same year, they were a Visiting Associate at The Boston Consulting Group where they prepared a strategy for a large M&A project of two major banks. In 2012, they worked as an Embedded C/C++/Python developer at Softexor. From 2013-2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at Automatic Control Laboratory, ETH Zurich, developing embedded electronics and firmware for the ORCA racer project. From 2014-2019, they were a Research Assistant at Autonomous Systems Lab, ETH Zurich, researching the topics of lifelong visual localization, state estimation, computer vision and machine learning. In 2016, they were a Visiting Researcher at Google. Since 2019, they have been the CPO & Co-Founder, Localization Lead & Co-Founder, Product Lead & Co-Founder and Hardware Lead at Sevensense Robotics.
Marcin Dymczyk received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from ETH Zürich in 2018, specializing in Localization and Mapping. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science ETH in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich in 2014. Marcin also received a Bachelor's degree in Robotics and Control Engineering from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in 2012. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Wroclaw University of Economics and Business in 2011. Marcin completed their secondary education at XIV Liceum im. Polonii Belgijskiej we Wrocławiu in 2008.
