Alex Parker is an accomplished astrophysicist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in space science and technology. As the Founder of Astraeus Ocean Systems since March 2022, Alex focuses on developing an autonomous vessel network for real-time data delivery at sea. Concurrently, as Principal Investigator at the SETI Institute since September 2021, Alex leads the Remote, Not Alone initiative aimed at enhancing collaboration among remote scientists. Previously, significant roles at the Southwest Research Institute included Principal Scientist, Senior Research Scientist, Research Scientist, and Postdoctoral Researcher from September 2014 to July 2021. Alex also contributed to NASA's New Horizons mission as a Planetary Scientist at UC Berkeley and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Academic credentials include a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Victoria and a BSc in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Washington.
