Walter Konopski has a solid work experience background. Walter began their career as a PC Support Intern at Rand Company in 2004. In 2005, they became a Lead Intern at St. James Mercy Health Systems. Later that year, they joined ServU Federal Credit Union as a Network Administrator, a role they held until 2018. During their time at ServU, they gained experience and knowledge in information technology and cybersecurity. In 2018, Walter was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Information Technology, where they oversaw strategic planning, budgeting, risk auditing, and project management. Currently, they are the Vice President of Information Technology at ServU, responsible for leading the IT department and cybersecurity initiatives.
Walter Konopski obtained a B.S in Network Administration from the State University of New York, College of Technology at Alfred in 2005. Prior to that, they completed an A.A.S in Computer Information Systems from the same institution in 2003. Walter also holds a Regents Diploma from Hammondsport Central School, which they received in 2001.
