Nell McNamara is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in organizing and advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Digital Organizing Training Coordinator at SEIU since July 2022, Nell also operates Nell McNamara Communications as a consultant specializing in writing, editing, public relations, and advocacy since September 2010. Prior roles include Communications Director at AFSCME Council 31 from August 2015 to July 2022, Communications Coordinator at SEIU Local 1 from June 2011 to August 2015, and Director of the Equal Justice Coalition at the Legal Foundation of Washington from June 2007 to May 2011, focusing on public education and legislative advocacy for legal aid. Nell's educational background includes a BA in English and Art from Macalester College, a Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Washington, and an MA in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago.
