Vishal Patil is a seasoned IT and Automation professional with over 19 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as Sr. General Manager of IT & Automation at Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. since September 2018, Vishal specializes in IT-OT convergence and has successfully led numerous paperless initiatives, implementing various enterprise applications. Prior roles include Cluster Head of IT at SUN PHARMA, where digital transformation projects were advanced, and Head of Automation & IT at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, contributing to the design of Electronic Batch Production Reports (eBPR) and integrating Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Furthermore, Vishal has held engineering and project management positions at Ranbaxy, Novozymes South Asia, Biological E, Jubilant Organosys, and Wockhardt. Vishal holds a Professional Certification in Digital Strategy and Transformation from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and a BE in Instrumentation from North Maharashtra University.
