Bob Wood has a diverse work experience primarily in the defense industry. Bob started their career in 1993 as the Assistant Commander for Contracts at Naval Air Systems Command. In 1997, they joined Serco Inc. and held various Vice President roles, including Vice President for Logistics, Personnel, and Readiness, Vice President for Logistics, and Vice President for Economic and Cost Analysis. In 2014, they transitioned to Serco as the Vice President for Defense.

Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Government Procurement and Contracting at The George Washington University - School of Business.
