Sharon R. has a extensive work experience in the field of clinical research. Sharon began their career as a Clinical Study Coordinator at Pharmacology Research Clinic in 1999, where they oversaw data collection, patient care, and ensured adherence to research protocols and ethical standards.
In 2002, Sharon joined NPS Pharmaceuticals as a Sr. Clinical Research Assistant, where they assisted in the development of study protocols, participated in vendor supervision and evaluation, and coordinated meetings. Sharon later became a Sr. Clinical Research Associate, where they supervised the development of study protocols, regulatory documents, and assisted with contract negotiations. Sharon also supervised the progress of interdepartmental teams and vendors in meeting study milestones.
In 2005, Sharon transitioned into the role of a Clinical Research Manager at NPS Pharmaceuticals. Here, they managed international Phase IIIb/IV Osteoporosis trials, conducted CRO audits, and reviewed proposals and contracts. Sharon also supervised investigator recruitment and site audits.
Sharon joined ICON plc in 2006 as a Clinical Project Manager, where they functioned as the primary contact with sponsor companies and coordinated all aspects of study management. Sharon'sresponsibilities included ensuring study objectives were achieved, timelines were met, and deliverables were within budget.
From 2008 to 2010, Sharon worked at PRA Health Sciences as a Clinical Project Manager, where they managed multiple clinical research studies from protocol development to final CSR. Sharon contributed to strategic outsourcing decisions and identified CRO vendors.
Since 2012, Sharon has been working at Sera Prognostics. Sharon started as a Sr. Clinical Research Associate, where they developed study objectives, assisted in writing and reviewing study protocols, and maintained the Trial Master Files. Later, they became a Clinical Project Manager, managing study timelines, collaborating with upper management on study design and protocol development, and writing and reviewing study materials. Sharon then served as the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations, where they managed all aspects of clinical studies and associated risks, trained clinical staff, and provided leadership for the operations of the clinical department. Currently, Sharon holds the role of Director of Clinical Operations at Sera Prognostics.
Sharon R. pursued their education at the University of Utah from 1989 to 1996. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
