Meg MacMillan has a diverse work experience. In 2019, they worked as a Legal Intern at Powell Gilbert LLP for a brief period from May to June. Meg then joined Zymewire as a Data Science Research Associate from July to October. Later in the same year, they served as the Director of Training at Queen's Merlin Neurotech from March 2019 to March 2020. Currently, they are employed as a Computational Biologist at Sequence Bio starting from June 2021.

Meg MacMillan attended Humberside Collegiate Institute from 2012 to 2016. However, no degree or field of study was mentioned during this period. From 2016 to 2020, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics at Queen's University.
