Michael Holmes has a diverse work experience in the petroleum industry. Michael started their career at PETRONAS as a PETRONAS OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR, where they worked from May 2000 to September 2008. Michael then moved on to Eni, where they served as a Senior Commissioning Engineer for a gas plant from May 2011 to November 2013. Holmes joined OMV in September 2013 as a Senior Operations Specialist and Commissioning /Snr ORA, and worked until December 2013. Michael later joined Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc in September 2014 as a Senior Commissioning Engineer, and is currently employed there in an unknown position.

Michael Holmes attended Liverpool John Moores University from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Engineering. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at WIRRAL GRAMMER from 1960 to 1967, specializing in English Language and Literature. In addition to their formal education, Michael obtained a certification in "DIPLOMERS OPS ENG MECH ENG HYDROCARBONS" from the London Business School in May 2003.
