Joe Gianelli

Sr Director West Coast Sales at Sensory

Joe Gianelli has an extensive work experience spanning from 1994 to 2022. Joe started their career at Meta Software Inc. as a Senior Technical Marketing Manager/Sales Manager, where they completed technical specifications for the MetaWaves waveform viewer and job management tool for HSPICE. Later, they transitioned into a sales role responsible for a territory in the Bay Area, and drove an extensive volume purchase agreement with Sun Microsystems in their first year.

In 1996, Joe moved to Epic as a Senior Sales Manager, where they were responsible for a territory from Sunnyvale north through San Francisco for EPIC Design EDA tools. Joe surpassed the $1M quarterly booking mark in their first quarter with EPIC and drove the expansion of EPIC business at Intel.

The following year, Joe joined Synopsys as a Senior Sales Manager, responsible for EPIC product sales at Intel. Joe helped manage the Intel account with other Synopsys sales management and drove early expansion and deployment of EPIC products for the microprocessor division at Intel.

In 1998, Joe moved to Synplicity, Inc. as a Vice President of Business Development, where they managed all channel partners and OEMs. Joe drove OEM business up by 5x in the first four years and expanded Synplicity's business in ASIC synthesis with joint development/sales agreements with LSI Logic, NEC, and Fujitsu with support for the new structured ASIC market.

Joe then joined Taray Inc. in 2008 as a Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Joe was responsible for strategic planning, including business plan and sales strategy development, and successfully positioned the company for sale to Cadence Design Systems in March of 2010.

Joe then joined InPA Systems, Inc. in 2010 as a Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Joe was responsible for developing the web site, product packaging and pricing, and putting together partnerships with all major EDA companies and two key prototype suppliers.

In 2011, Joe moved to Motion Analytix as a Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Joe was responsible for market and sales strategy, product packaging and pricing, and strategic partnership development. Joe also developed the business plan and solicited seed round for early development.

Joe then joined Get2Market in 2012 as a Principal.

In 2013, Joe joined Aaware, Inc. as a Co-Founder and board member and Co-Founder, Vice President of Business Development. Joe was responsible for early stage DSP start-up developing noise/echo cancellation engine to enable "far field" speech recognition, developing the business plan, setting up early stage strategic partners, early brand development, and analyzing market acceptance for speech recognition applications for the consumer, industrial and commercial markets.

Finally, Joe is currently at Sensory, Inc. since 2022, where they are a Senior Director of West Coast Sales.

Joe Gianelli attended West Valley College from 1981 to 1983, where they studied Computer Science and Marketing.
