Viviana Delgado Betancourt

Program Manager - Pharmaceutical Development at Sensorion

Viviana Delgado Betancourt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. In 2010, they worked as a Pharmacist in the Pharmacy Office, where their responsibilities included drug dispensing and providing information and therapeutic monitoring to patients. Viviana later joined the Gregorio Mara\u00f1on University Hospital as a Pharmacist, where they were involved in a global project for the safe use of high-risk medications in pediatrics and also prepared formulations in the pharmacotechnical laboratory.

In 2012, they took on a Student Internship at the Centre de Pharmacologie et Innovation dans le Diab\u00e8te. During this time, they gained practical experience in a research setting. Viviana then joined the Institute of Functional Genomics as a PhD student, where they focused on studying cardioprotection against Ischemia-Reperfusion injury using genetically modified mouse models of pacemaking.

In 2016, Viviana joined SYNCROSOME - Preclinical Efficacy CRO as a Preclinical study monitor and Head of the Cardiovascular Department. Their responsibilities included developing the Cardiovascular department, implementing relevant models of cardiovascular diseases, and conducting preclinical drug efficacy studies in various disease areas such as Cardiovascular, Central Nervous System, and Gastroenterology.

Currently, Viviana is working at Sensorion as a Program Manager in Pharmaceutical Development. Previously, they held the position of Project Manager in Pharmaceutical Development at the same company. Prior to that, they worked as a Preclinical study coordinator in the area of inner ear disorders at Sensorion. Their work involved conducting preclinical in vivo drug studies related to inner ear disorders and developing and characterizing animal models for these conditions.

Viviana Delgado Betancourt pursued their education starting in 2005 at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where they obtained a degree in Pharmacy. After completing their undergraduate studies, from 2011 to 2012, they attended the University of Montpellier and obtained a Master 2 (M2) degree in Biotechnology. Following this, from 2012 to 2015, they continued their education at the University of Montpellier and earned a PhD in Cardiac Physiology. Additionally, in 2013 and 2014, they pursued a Diplôme Universitaire in Business Management at the same university.
