Alexandra Sereda has a diverse work experience in the field of sensor innovation and engineering. Alexandra currently holds the role of Business Development Manager at Sensirion, a position they started in October 2022. Previously, from 2019 to 2022, they worked at Philip Morris International, where they served as a Senior Scientist in Innovation Management. In this role, they were responsible for technology scouting activities for sensors and biosensors.

Prior to that, Alexandra worked at Biovotion as a Biophotonic Engineer from 2015 to 2018. Alexandra also had a role as an Instrumentation Engineer at Institut d'Optique Graduate School in 2015, where they focused on the development and optimization of a surface plasmon resonance imaging platform.

Alexandra'searlier experiences include a PhD candidacy at HORIBA Scientific from 2011 to 2014, where they developed a low-cost multi-spectral surface plasmon resonance imaging setup for biosensing applications. Alexandra was awarded the Instrumentation Prize for their work. Moreover, they had a research/engineering internship at Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives in 2011, where they developed a Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) setup.

Alexandra also gained research and development experience through internships at ESPCI Paris in 2010 and id Quantique SA in 2009. Additionally, they completed an internship as a technician at 3M France in 2008.
