Geir Bredholt has over 28 years of professional experience in the engineering and research fields. Geir began their career in 1994 as a Development Engineer at OSI Systems (Former AME ASA). In 1998, they joined SINTEF Digital as a Senior Advisor and Research Scientist, where they were responsible for research and development, including project lead in the field of Silicon radiation detectors and MEMS. Geir then moved to IDEX ASA in 2007 as a Microsystem Design Manager and Microsystem Designer, where they were responsible for the development, design and industrialization of fingerprint sensor substrates for capacitive fingerprint sensors. In 2017, they joined SINTEF Digital, Microsystems and Nanotechnology as a Research Manager for Silicon Sensor Technology and MiNaLab Operations. Geir is currently a Senior Product Engineer at sensiBel.
Geir Bredholt has an extensive educational background. Geir began their studies in 1983 at Ask High School in Askim, Norway, where they earned a Foundation Degree in Electro. Geir then moved on to Borg High School in Sarpsborg, Norway, where they earned an Advanced Degree in Electronic Repair in 1984-1985. Following that, they attended Sofienberg Technical College in Oslo, Norway, where they earned a Technician Degree in Electronics from 1985-1987. Geir then returned to the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1989-1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Finally, they returned to UiO from 1993-1994, where they earned a Master of Science in Physics.
