Josh Winters has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Josh is currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Sensei Ag, an AgTech company focused on solving global gaps and inconsistencies in nutrition, food safety, and food security. Prior to this, they held the position of Lead Software Engineer at Sensei Ag.
Before joining Sensei Ag, Josh was the Owner of FriendMachine, where they used network analysis to build communities and restructure markets. Josh provided consulting services in market analysis, network analysis, data science, and data engineering.
Josh also served as the Chief Technology Officer at IdealSpot, a company specializing in local market data for the built world and commercial real estate. Along with this role, they held positions as the Director of Product & Data Science and Lead Data Engineer at IdealSpot.
Earlier in their career, Josh worked as a Software Engineer at Silicon Labs, where they developed software tools for embedded (IoT) developers. Josh also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, where they focused on modeling emergent behaviors of complex ecological networks.
Furthermore, Josh gained valuable industry experience as a Software Development Intern at Autodesk.
Josh Winters attended the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Computer Science. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications. In February 2020, they received the Triplebyte Generalist Certification from Triplebyte. More recently, in April 2022, they obtained a certification in Technology Strategy from Reforge. In August 2022, they also obtained a certification in Product Leadership, and in November 2022, they obtained a certification in Engineering Management, both from Reforge.
