Massimiliano Bariola

Chief Technical Officer at Sensate

Massimiliano Bariola has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Massimiliano is currently serving as the Chief Technical Officer at Sensate since September 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded EngageLabs in September 2018 and held the position until December 2020.

From 2012, Massimiliano worked as a Technology Consultant and Entrepreneur for various companies. During this time, they were involved in devising the renewal of Legacoop's public and associate-facing information infrastructure and reworking information processes within the National Office. Massimiliano also won awards for a narrative pervasive game concept aimed at boosting tourism and cultural appeal.

From 2009 to 2012, Massimiliano worked at Banzai Group S.p.a. as a Solutions Architect and Senior Technical Project Manager. Massimiliano coordinated the development of a high-performance CMS, resulting in cost reduction and increased user traffic. Prior to this, they worked at ProDigi / Officine della Rete as an Acting CTO and Project Manager from 2005 to 2008, developing IT solutions for clients.

Massimiliano has experience as a Freelance Technology Advisor from 2002 to 2004, where they provided custom IT solutions for medium-sized companies through the use of Open Source technologies. Massimiliano also directed a team of programmers and web designers.

In 2001, Massimiliano served as an IT Team Leader and R&D lead at Motorcity / TISCALI. Massimiliano led multiple teams in the development of a automotive web portal project and an innovative infomotive solution called MOVACTIVE.

Massimiliano Bariola completed their Perito Informatico degree in Informatica Industriale from ITIS G. Marconi - Piacenza in 1990. After that, they pursued a Masters Degree in Computer Systems and Applications from Politecnico di Milano and completed it in 2000.
