Denise Castrejon has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Denise began their career as an Operations Analyst at Shell in 2005 and later moved on to the role of Commercial Analyst before becoming a Senior Scheduler. During their time at Shell, they played an integral role in the successful launch of LNG import and natural gas sales in Mexico.
In 2008, Denise joined InterGen as a Commercial Associate, where they managed stakeholder relationships with various organizations, including Gasoductos de Chihuahua, Pemex, BNP Paribas, Shell, the Mexican Energy Commission (CRE), and the government-owned electricity company (CFE). Denise also negotiated agreements between customers and suppliers to minimize financial exposure.
Denise's next career move took their to Vestas, where they served as a Sales Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for managing stakeholder relationships, developing new business opportunities in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, and negotiating firm contracts for the supply and installation of wind energy systems.
In 2012, Denise joined Gasoductos de Chihuahua as a New Business Development Manager and later became the New Business Development Deputy Director. During their time there, they successfully negotiated major contracts, including the first private ethane pipeline in the country and the Ramones Phase I natural gas pipeline.
In 2016, Denise transitioned to IEnova, where they held various roles within the business development department. Denise began as a New Business Development Manager, then became a Sr. Commercial Manager, and finally assumed the position of Refined Products Business Development Director.
Currently, Denise is working at Sempra Infrastructure as the Refined Products Business Development Director. In 2023, they are scheduled to transition into the role of Natural Gas Business Development Director.
Denise Castrejon completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree at Thunderbird School of Global Management from 2008 to 2010. Denise received their Global Master of Business Administration during their time there.
