Melisa Clottey has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Melisa started their career at General Mills in 1999 as a QA Technologist before moving to Pizza Hut in 2002, where they served as a Senior Technical Manager. In 2008, they joined HJ Heinz as an R&D Senior Executive until 2011. Clottey then joined Selfridges and held multiple positions, including Head of Food Technical and Director of Food Buying & Merchandising (Secondment) from 2011 to 2016. From 2016 to 2023, they served as the Head of Product Compliance and was also the Founding Chair of the Diversity Board. In 2021, they joined La Retraite Roman Catholic Girls' School as a member of the Board of Governors.
Melisa Clottey holds a Master of Science (MSc) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Science and Technology and Public Health Nutrition from the University of London.
