Cecilie M. Brænd Hekneby has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Cecilie M. Brænd currently holds the role of CFO & IR at Self Storage Group ASA since January 2017. Prior to this, they worked as the Finance Manager at Selvaag Self-Storage AS from September 2015 to December 2016.

From March 2012 to August 2015, Cecilie was the Group Controller at Color Line, where they were responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning. Before that, they served as a Controller for the Cargo and IT business unit at Color Line from September 2011 to February 2012.

Cecilie's early career was at Posten Norge, where they held several roles. As a Project Manager in the Post division from September 2008 to August 2011, they led a project to reduce costs in post offices by implementing best practices and downsizing staff. Prior to this, they worked as an Analyst in the Post division from October 2004 to August 2008.

Cecilie also served as a Controller in the Konsument division at Posten Norge from January 2002 to September 2004. Additionally, they worked as a Finance and Accounting Manager in the Frimerketjenesten division from January 2001 to December 2001 and as a Product Manager from March 1999 to December 2000.

Cecilie M. Brænd Hekneby attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) from 1993 to 1994, where they specialized in German business language. Cecilie M. Brænd then continued their studies at the same institution from 1994 to 1998, earning a degree in Siviløkonom.
