Suzanne Julian is an experienced communication professional with a background in community development and economic opportunity. Currently serving as the Director of Corporate and Internal Communications at Self-Help Credit Union since 2012, Suzanne focuses on advancing the organization's mission as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Prior roles include Research Assistant at UNC General Administration, providing support for community engagement across multiple campuses, and fellowships with the Carolina Economic Revitalization Corps and the Public Intersection Project, where Suzanne contributed to community and economic development initiatives. Earlier experience includes serving as Project Manager at Hands On Gulf Coast, a nonprofit dedicated to disaster relief and community rebuilding post-Hurricane Katrina. Suzanne holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin.
