Ryan Keong has a diverse work experience beginning with their role as an Administrative Intern at MBP Sports, Singapore in 2008. Ryan then moved on to serve in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) from 2009 to 2013, where they served as a Company Quarter Master Sergeant. During this time, they were responsible for leading a team of 4-5 men into the field, acting as a support group for the front line of infantry soldiers, and ensuring the needs of an entire infantry unit were provided. In 2013, they joined Schroders as a Response For Proposal Team member, where they focused on client services and assisted in the writing of client response for proposals and updating client due diligence. Finally, in 2014, they joined Select Funding as a Senior Sales Manager and Senior Account Executive.

Ryan Keong attended the University of San Francisco from 2011 to 2012 and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Occidental College in 2014.
