Mike Thornton has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Mike started their career in 2007 at GKN Aerospace as the Deputy Director of Engineering. Mike worked in this role for nearly 8 years before joining Hexcel in 2015 as an Engineering Manager. After two and a half years, they moved to SEKISUI Aerospace Corporation in 2018, where they currently hold the position of Manufacturing Engineer.

Mike Thornton obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Faulkner University. Mike attended Faulkner University from 2001 to 2002, completing their undergraduate education. In addition to their degree, Mike has obtained certifications in "Introduction to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing" and "Operational Excellence Foundations" from LinkedIn, both achieved in April 2021.
