Jose Luis Martinez has extensive experience in advocacy and union organization, currently serving as Advocacy Coordinator at SEIU Local 721 since August 2008, with prior roles including Advocate II, Advocate, and Union Organizer. Earlier in the career, Jose Luis worked as a 5th Grade Teacher at Saint Thomas the Apostle School from July 2005 to July 2006. Education credentials include a Master's Degree in Education from Newcastle University (2004-2005), a Post Graduate Certificate in International Development from the University of Bath (2002-2003), and a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Government from Woodbury University (1997-2002).
