Emily Dorrel is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in social media management, content creation, and education. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist at SEIU Local 721 since September 2022, Emily previously held the role of Social Media and Communications Director at CODEPINK, overseeing national social media accounts and developing engaging online content. Additional experience includes various academic roles at California State University, Northridge, where Emily contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Administrative Assistant, and Research Assistant, as well as earlier positions in counseling, management, and outreach. Emily holds a master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from California State University, Northridge, and a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and Media Studies from Lewis & Clark College.
