David D. Reed

His responsibilities include sourcing investment opportunities, cultivating relationships with industry-leading owner-operators, executives, management teams, and shareholders, and performing company and industry due diligence. He has played an instrumental role in building and implementing SEP’s in-house proprietary CRM databases.

Dave began his professional career at The Gores Group, a private equity firm, where he spent over six years in the business development group. At TGG, Dave focused principally on sourcing investment opportunities, with an emphasis on corporate carve-outs, divestitures, public to private, and leveraged buyout transactions. He was responsible for building a network of industry-leading executives of public and private companies, intermediaries, investment banks, lawyers, and other transaction referral sources. His transaction experience spanned a wide variety of industries and deal sizes.

Dave graduated from Pepperdine University with a BA in Economics.
