Teresa Alvarez Bencosme has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Teresa began their career as a Planning and Development Analyst at the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency, where they conducted research and analysis on the banking sector. Teresa then moved on to Banco Popular Dominicano as a Risk Management Analyst, supporting the Risk Management Department in data analysis and annual objective planning.

Following this, Teresa joined Banco Santander Chile as a Risk Management Analyst, where they focused on improving the SOX control environment and analyzing risks in critical processes. Teresa later joined Zurich Santander Insurance America as a Risk Management Analyst, responsible for creating and maintaining an enterprise risk management program across several countries.

Teresa then transitioned to Seguros SURA, where they served as Head of Business Competitiveness and later as Trends and Risk in the insurance sector. Currently, they are working at Seguros Reservas, starting as a Product Development Manager and steadily advancing to Senior Product Development Manager and Director of Product Development.

Throughout their career, Teresa has demonstrated expertise in risk management, product development, and business competitiveness. Teresa has a strong analytical background and a knack for identifying and addressing risks in various contexts.

Teresa Alvarez Bencosme attended IE Business School from 2014 to 2015, where they obtained a Master in Management degree with a focus on Financial Management and Control. In 2014, they also completed a Diplomatura in Corporate Finance at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the same university between 2009 and 2013. Additionally, Teresa obtained a certification in MS Excel: Advanced Data Analysis from IE Business School in 2015.
